What’s it like?
Happy flower friends will greet you outside the venue and usher you into registration. A hospitality team will be standing by throughout the event to assist you with anything you might need.
You’ll get to meet peers who are in a similar stage of business and are pursuing a similar type of career path. You’ll also have the opportunity to introduce yourself and build a referral network with peers in your region of the country.
Main Stage sessions feature a diverse range of floral design and business topics that apply to all business models and experience levels. We bring in the stars you admire from afar so you can see their work in-person!
Small group breakout sessions are focused on niche topics, and you can select the path that’s right for you.
Q&A panels are focused on business-model specific topics. For example, if you are interested in opening a flower shop or own one you would attend the Flower Shop Panel.
If you are a beginner you can add the Beginner’s Breakfast to your registration. There, you’ll connect with other beginners and get advice and insight into what to focus on and anticipate in the first three years.
You’ll have the opportunity to purchase a meal plan for convenience or choose to eat at local eateries—whatever you prefer.
The schedule may be modified, but generally sessions begin after lunch on the first day and wrap up late afternoon on the last day.
Why Albany?
It’s a safe, calm city and is easy to access by plane, train or automobile.
Albany has deep Dutch roots, and is home to the famous Tulip Festival (it’s taking place the weekend prior).
You’ll see thousands of Tulips as you walk through Washington Park.
Albany echos what we love about New York City without the crowds (and if you like the city you can easily scoot over for the weekend after the conference is over).
Why May 11-13?
Retreat after the Mother’s Day rush, and get inspired before the event season kicks into high gear!
It’s going to be such a beautiful time to walk through the park and appreciate everything springtime in New York has to offer.
Most important—a wonderful venue (The Albany Capital Center) is available! Venues are difficult to secure for consecutive days right now. We’re very fortunate to welcome you in an extremely spacious venue where we can gather safely! On top of this, venue parking is very affordable, and it’s attached to a lovely hotel with a dutch floral theme—the Renaissance Albany Hotel. You can walk to sessions easily over the covered bridge.
It’s later in the week this year because of venue scarcity. I wish that’s something we could adjust, but if you register now and happen to book your dream job you can get a refund until February 1, 2022 or an account credit after February 1, 2022.
