Keynote Sessions

Core floristry and small business skills are shared in a demonstration, lecture, or hybrid format. Presentation windows are 60 minutes long (45 minutes of presentation and 15 minutes of Q&A). Speakers in this category are well-known among most people in the group or have a specialization that aligns with the event theme (emotional wellness). In addition to the keynote, these educators host a breakout session or workshop and appear on a panel.

Breakout Sessions

Niche topics are discussed in a casual setting that emphasizes sharing within the group. Groups can range from 10 to 100 depending on the topic. Most sessions (unless very big or very small) are offered twice which means you are choosing to not attend 2 out of 4 breakout sessions if you lead a breakout session.

Panel Discussions

The group will break into rooms based on their business model. Audience questions are answered by whichever panel member feels led to respond. No prep needed. Panelists are selected based on their business model and experience level. We have three main categories—Wedding Florist, Retail Florist, and Farmer-Florist and feature new, intermediate, and advanced florists. We also host a panel for beginners that features a Wedding Florist, Retail Florist, and Farmer-Florist in years 5+ of their business.

Workshop Demonstrator or Support Person

Groups of 15-30 will practice a product like "bouquet" or "flower crown." Workshop demonstrators will lead the group in creating an arrangement. The support team will provide more individualized guidance to attendees as they follow the demonstrator, grab additional flowers as needed, and offer help to demonstrators. These sessions are 2 hours long and will overlap the breakout session timeframes. If you lead or support at a workshop, you are choosing to not attend 2 out of 4 breakout sessions.
